Weed detection and AI detection is a major part of our business and we are striving to all extremities to collect data fast whilst keeping the quality at the highest level.

Weed Detection

Weed detection is evolving at such fast rates. We are always looking for ways to improve in our technology whether it is with getting faster aircraft, better cameras or software and new ways to stay ahead of the game.

We are currently using a UAV helicopter which has unbelievable flight stability and are currently covering a massive 400ha/hr, with an accuracy of 3cm from 120m high and a GSD of 1cm.

Green/Brown

Green/Brown data is collected as what we call visual multispectral. We have tried using NDVI as detection but found a massive amount of false positives due to reflection. Since changing to an AI detection we have decreased on average from 80%(NDVI) down to 25%-50%(AI) of paddocks sprayed. We have had as low as 12%.

We have flown 1200ha quite comfortably in a day and this client started to receive the data within 1 day and all of the maps within 3 days.

Green/Green

Green/Green is a challenge. We believe by the end 2024 season we will have sorted the best way for data collection. In the picture to the left we detected fumitory in a pea crop. To the right is late season radish in lentils detection that work extremely well. Whilst timing is right to spray later in the season, the best time may be early on in season. Feel free to contact us to discuss further.

AI Detection

AI detection can be used for just about anything you can think of. Whether it might be for lamb detection, when detection is done it also gives us a number of lambs.
